The American Enterprise Institute (AEI) Events team ensures that the more than 1,200 public and private events held annually at AEI’s headquarters are executed flawlessly. AEI scholars and staff turn to the Events team to maximize the quality of all aspects of events, including setup, audience attendance, audiovisual production, catering, registration, metrics, and billing. As the Events intern, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting AEI’s mission to foster insightful dialogue and executing impactful events that shape the future of public policy.
The Events intern will assist with optimizing event operations, elevating efficiency across various tasks, and executing our prestigious multiday policy summit. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a knack for leveraging technology to streamline processes. They will also enjoy a structured approach to project management, have excellent interpersonal communication skills, and work well on a team while taking the initiative to manage independent tasks.
Work may include tracking institutional event metrics to provide the team with actionable, data-driven insights on event performance; independently managing several inventories to ensure they are organized and stocked optimally; and other tasks as assigned.
Microsoft Office proficiency is a must; knowledge of Salesforce is a plus.
The start dates for the spring program are January 7 and January 14.
